How to fix squeaky insoles with 1 trick

You finally found a solution to your foot problem. You decided to get some insoles. Maybe you watched my other video where we talked about whether you should or shouldn't get insoles. Whatever the case is, you've got them, but now you've got a new problem and they squeak. So what can you do about it? I'm going to show you in this video.

I'm Jesse Funk, the founder of Solpri.com and the host of this show Runner's High, where we talk about everything running and endurance related. Now, this one will be relatively short and sweet because I'm going to show you how to fix this creaking in your insoles. But if you enjoy running or endurance activities, then subscribe to the channel. Stick around for more episodes every Tuesday and Thursday. So let's head to the kitchen mark and do a top down view. And I'm going to show you what to do with these insoles or any kind of insoles, really, that you can buy over the counter to make them stop squeaking.

So we've got our insoles here and the fix is pretty simple. So you just need a regular roll of athletic tape. Pick this up for five or six bucks, something like that. Pretty small for fixing the squeaky insoles. You do want to make sure. So like these are relatively new for me, but I've been wearing them like a day or two.

You can already see like I cleaned this one off and this one's got some stuff on it because I haven't cleaned it off yet. So you want to clean off the bottoms to make sure that the adhesive actually sticks. So let me do that now. We'll fast forward and get to the good part. Okay. I'm going to let that one dry. We'll work on the other one. It really is as simple as just taking your tape and covering the bottom of your insole. It's nothing particularly special that you have to do about this. We did this all the time when I worked in the shoe shop.

Now, when we get done with this, we're going to trim off the edges. So I like to go long. It's a small overlap, and then we'll trim the edges off at the end. And that's it. Like I said, pretty straightforward. It's a simple, silly trick, but it works pretty much every single time, and that's all you need.

So if you want more practical tips like this one today, or you just love running again, subscribe to the channel and stick around and hopefully I'll see you next time on the next episode of Runner's High.
